The camp of rest "Chernomorka" is in the resort zone of Odessa, at the sea shore in the region of former German village "Lyustdorf". The territory of the camp makes 4 hectares and is completely verdured. The director of camp "Chernomorka" is Lev V. Malikov.
The camp began the work in 1966 as a student's sports camp. The first chief of the camp was the higher teacher of the faculty of physical education Abram Ya. Lupolovel. Tthat time the camp contained 200 having a rest. In the 70's two two-storeyed buildings were constructed together with 12 wooden Finnish houses for 12 persons each. During the 80's the cinema, office buildings, a four floor house, the restaurant were constructed.
Now to have a rest at the constantly improving camp "Chernomorka" up to 800 employees and students of the University receive the preference access. For last years during the summer season the camp accepts up to 2000 people, including up to 100 having a rest employees of MSU by M.V. Lomonosov.
Due to the grant given by the administration, the trade union committee of the University and by Odessa area committee of trade union the cost of the preference permits given to the students and employees of the University does not exceed 12-14 % of their actual cost.
In August and September at the camp of rest the conferences, symposia, seminars etc. are held. The camp is used for the practice of the students of geological-geographical faculty.
